MUSIC atTAC Ensemble Camp
Rising middle schoolers (6th-8th grade fall 2024)
Open to instrumentalists with at least two years of school musical experience. exceptions made on an individual basis for advanced students who fall outside the age group.
Participants will build their rhythmic foundation by exploring rhythm through percussion and body, then applying these concepts to their individual instrument.
Renowned director, composer, pianist, and producer Pablo Mayor of Folklore Urbano NYC will lead students in exercises on syncopation, understanding different time signatures, and translating that into melody. Students will rehearse music arranged just for them to share with parents at the end of the week!
Registration is limited.
1:15-3:15pm M-F
One week
$150/week, residents, $165/week non-residents
*Limited scholarships available for school district families - indicate on form or contact school social worker.
**Option to pair with the morning Writers Express "World Building 101" 9am-1pm
*Scholarships are limited. Please indicate on the registration form if you are in need of a scholarship. Tarrytown Arts Camp does its best to provide financial aid to students in need.
